Dr John Rainey is a regular visitor of the Library who has a great interest in the Library’s coin collection. He has brought many like-minded people to the Library on a number of occasions, and has encouraged members of the Numismatic Society of Ireland (Northern Branch) to visit us.
On his most recent visit, John presented the Library with a medal in memory of his father. He also gave us the following paper about his father, and about the commissioning of the medal.
