Before giving the Rokeby Lecture, Professor Tim Wilks showed the Lord Mayor, Councillor Julie Flaherty, and the Keeper, Dr Robert Whan, some of the gems which form the Library's substantial collection.

Tim Wilks, who gave the 2018 Rokeby Lecture on Archbishop Robinson’s gem collection, has very kindly provided a transcript of the lecture for online publication.
