On Tuesday 16th May The Centre for Cross Border Studies and Armagh Robinson Library will hold their\u00a0Annual Spring Lecture 2017. Professor Aidan O’Sullivan from the School of Archaeology, UCD will give the lecture: “How did people in early medieval Ireland live together? Some insights from archaeology, early Irish documentary sources, and experimental archaeology”. The event will start at 7.30pm in the Library.<\/p>\n
Archaeology is like time travel, exploring societies and ways of life that have vanished from the world, like those of early medieval Ireland. Archaeology, history and experimental archaeology can be used to learn how people lived together, what their dwellings, houses and daily practices in Ireland were like 1,300 years ago.<\/p>\n
