It explores the way the Primates of All-Ireland have influenced the city\u2019s heritage-led development and how this has shaped the city\u2019s cherished past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rich architectural heritage makes Armagh one of the most important and attractive urban centres in Ireland boasting outstanding museums and libraries with unique treasures that help reveal this fascinating story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at the book launch Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough commented,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><strong>I would like to commend and congratulate the four institutions who have come together to publish this wonderful book showcasing the proud architectural heritage of Armagh.&nbsp; A fascinating story brought to life focusing on the buildings and the close connections to the All-Ireland Primates.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/demo.brandingbay.com\/ARL\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Bishops-Buildings-8-small-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15917\"\/><figcaption>Image by Ian Maginess.<br>The contributors to &#8216;Bishops and Buildings&#8217;. A collaborative project produced by Armagh County Museum, Armagh Observatory and Planetarium, The Cardinal \u00d3 Fiaich Library and Archive and Armagh Robinson Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All-IrelandJohn McDowell commented<strong>,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><strong>The partnership that has produced this attractive new book means that the treasures held in the city\u2019s libraries and museums can now be enjoyed by a wider audience.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The book is a treat for the eyes with 80 richly illustrated pages packed with colourful drawings, photos and architectural illustrations, some of which have never been reproduced before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The book will be on sale for \u00a315 at Armagh County Museum, Armagh Planetarium, Armagh Robinson Library and The \u00d3 Fiaich Library.
